Portable Washing Machine

Posted by andrei on May 26, 2006

A washing machine is the last thing you’re going to take traveling, right? Well what if you could have the convenience of a fully-operational washing machine without taking up all the space? That’s right, thanks to its unique inflatable design, the Astone Mobile Washer is a washing machine so small you can take it anywhere. Perfect for campervan trips, weekenders, camping or hotel stays, the Mobile Washer weighs just 2 kg, and when inflated, holds 6.5 L of water.

Pieces of Me

Posted by andrei on May 18, 2006

I feel
that
my mind
is about
to explode

As if
my subconscious
parallel
to the
big bang theory

I try
desperately
to keep it
together
but
the pain
inside me
is slowly
breaking me
apart

Women are Impossible to Please???

Posted by andrei on May 11, 2006

A store that sells husbands has just opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates.

You may visit the store ONLY ONCE!

There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch… you may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband.

On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1—These men have jobs and love the Lord.

The second floor sign reads:

Floor 2—These men have jobs, love the Lord, and love kids.

The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3—These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, and are extremely good looking.

“Wow,” she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:

Floor 4—These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop-dead good looking and help with the housework.

“Oh, mercy me!” she exclaims, “I can hardly stand it!”

Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:

Floor 5—These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 6—You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that WOMEN ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day!

Me faltas tú

Posted by andrei on April 27, 2006

Regresa a mi vida
Ya las lágrimas de mis ojos se han esfumado
por la sequía infinita que has dejado
en mi alma que aún te espera
Regresa y llena todos mis vacíos
Vuelve a mí, porque me haces falta

I miss you, Crissie

Remembering Crissie

Posted by andrei on April 11, 2006

I am so angry and upset now that you’re gone
All I can do is sit and question why
Why you had to leave me so suddenly
Why I wasn’t given a chance to say goodbye

I think of our times together
And all my memories of you
Once all we did was laugh
Yet now smiles are few

We are all sad and depressed
Just wishing you were here
I’m willing to give up anything
For one more chance to hold you near

Not sure if I ever told you
Just how amazing you truly were
Trying to remember all our conversations
But they’re all just one big blur

Hope you can now see
Just how much you will be missed
The reasons we all love you
Are far too many to list

You were awesome to talk to
You were ridiculously smart
You were fun o just hang out with
And you had a huge heart

Wish I had been warned
Of your horrendous fate
So I could have prevented it
But now it’s too late

I’ll always remember you
You were one of a kind
Rest in peace my dear precious Crissie
You will always be in my heart and on my mind

All That I Love about Crissie

Posted by andrei on April 10, 2006

The music of her very face,
The melody of her every grace,
The harmony in her bright eye,
Rhythm in the form of her body —
I love all of that, and more.

I miss you very very much, my friend!

What’s in a Name?

Posted by andrei on March 21, 2006

ANDREI

  • Your name of Andrei gives you a clever mind, good business judgment, a sense of responsibility, and an appreciation of the finer things of life.

  • You are serious-minded and not inclined to make light of things even in little ways, and in your younger years you had more mature interests than others your age.

  • Home and family mean a great deal to you and it is natural that you should desire the security of a peaceful, settled home environment where you can enjoy the companionship of family and friends.

  • Whatever you set out to accomplish you do your very best to complete in accordance with what you consider to be right.

  • Although the name Andrei creates the urge to be reliable and responsible, we emphasize that it can cause a superior, interfering expression whose favorite expression is “I know” when not combined with a balanced last name.

  • This name, when not combined with a balanced last name, can also frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses through worry and mental tension.

Seriousness and I

Posted by andrei on March 14, 2006

Large-natured, I am
not so often
or easily amused.
Among the masses,
the common run of men,
I move as a grown person
among children:
instead of frivolous games
I require Art, Science, Wisdom
(loving the greatest men best).
I freely grant that
I am proud and private.
And not (as now)
so normally quiet.

On Creativity

Posted by andrei on March 13, 2006

“Oh, I see you write poetry!”
“Well, yes, such as it is . . . .”
“Do you paint also?”
“Not a bit!”
“And why not?”
“Oh, the paint doesn’t go where I want it to!”
“And the words do?”
